About

There is no doubt Food allergies is on the rise. And at a time when we want to be connecting more, it is so easy to become home-bound, in order to eat/feed safe.

This blog is run by a mother with a Japanese heritage (that also grew up with allergies herself) who has been in that exact spot for the past 8 years. With a son with multiple food allergies, some anaphylactic, it's hard to get away from the kitchen and still be relaxed (although, it certainly is getting better, I assure you!). This blog is originally started in an effort to write down and organize my own experiences and thoughts in one place, so I could trace it back myself when I had more time/energy.  Now if there is any value in it at all, I would be happy if it can also used as a tool to reach out and to connect with others from the comfort of my own home (not that she doesn't want to leave, but out of necessity).

Read along, and also please share your wisdom. Let's not be afraid of allergies etc, but let's enjoy to live with, work with and celebrate this special part of ourselves!
